Once the FiveM client is installed (follow our guide to playing on a GTA V RP server) and the players arrive on a GTA V RP server, a huge map is revealed. However it is important to understand how to interact with this new world before venturing further. In addition to interactions with other players, this game mode revolves around three main axes: cars, trades and weapons.
First step: the car
Cars are essential to GTA V as they are the best way to get around the map. However, before buying your first car, you will need to pass your driving license. After finding a means of transport, you will have to go to the driving school to obtain it. It is important not to skip this step because the police, embodied by other players, will be able to check if you have it.

With regard to the vehicle catalog, most of those present in the base game will be available for purchase. However, some vehicles may be missing from some servers depending on the choices of the developers. As for the price of cars, they can vary according to the players who practice the car dealership business.
Step two: find a job
Once you have a car, the next step will be to find a job that will allow you to earn money and thus meet your needs (including food and drink). The choice of trades may however depend on the server. We regularly find professions such as policeman, member of the special forces, miner, journalist, garbage collector or even mayor of the city!
Note that some slightly less legal professions may also be available (scammer, murderer or drug dealer for example).

It should be noted that the salary will obviously vary according to the trades, and thatyou will have to wear an outfit in accordance with your job (overalls for a mechanic, suit for the mayor for example).
Carrying weapons in GTA V RP
Unlike the classic single or multiplayer mode which let you drive and own a weapon from the start, RolePlay requires, as with the car, a gun license. This license is payable depending on the type of weapon, and its price may vary depending on the server. The weapons used will however remain quite realistic, so probably not heavy or futuristic weapons, as can be found in the classic multiplayer mode. As with the cars, the weapon catalog will be quite similar to the base game. The choice of the weapon will therefore be mainly among handguns and possibly assault rifles.
So much for our basic tips for playing on a GTA V RP server. Again, the rules may change on your server as each version has its own system. However, the majority of servers use roughly the same model.
