There are hundreds of unique Pokémon available for trainers to find and capture in the world of Pokémon Go.
Some of these Pokémon have the ability to evolve when players collect a certain amount of Candy, which turns them into more powerful Pokémon.
Candies can be obtained by catching a particular Pokemon or walking with that Pokemon for a set distance. This means trainers may need to grind for several hours to get the most powerful version of their favorite Pokemon.
This candy can also be used in combination with Stardust to give your Pokemon more Battle Points (CP), which increases your creature's power.
This list features some of the best Pokémon trainers should look out for to find and evolve in Pokémon Go.
Machoc> Machopeur> Mackogneur
As one of the best attacking Pokémon in the game, mostly because it can even compete with Legendary Pokémon, Machamp is a must-have Pokémon on anyone's list when trying to take down opposing Legendary Raids or Gyms.
The best hits to give him are Karate Chop and/or Dynamic Punch for that bit of extra damage, which could prove vital against the toughest opponents.
Magikarp > Gyarados
Gyarados is one of the hardest Pokémon to break into Pokémon Go and one of the hardest to evolve. You need 300 Magikarp Candies to get one in the first place, making this an ordeal that could last for weeks or even months.
But when you get a Gyarados, you instantly reap the benefits. It's a powerful Pokémon to attack or defend, which is important for any team looking to make their mark in the world of Pokémon Go.
Minidraco> Draco> Dracolosse
Dragonite is a Dragon-type powerhouse capable of killing multiple enemy Pokémon with a single hit. It's best used when it knows Outrage or Draco Meteor, which are high-powered Dragon-type moves that can obliterate enemy Pokemon with a single hit.
The Dragonite can be as strong as some Legendary Pokemon and will be vital for anyone looking to defeat Legendary Raids and opposing Gyms.
Leveinard> Leuphoria
Blaze is a tank and is the strongest defensive Pokémon in the game. By placing it in a Gym, Blaze is guaranteed to last for a while, allowing your Pokécoin count to slowly increase.
However, Blistering isn't an invincible Pokemon, but it should survive the onslaught of a bunch of powerful Pokemon and keep the gym in your team colors.
Embrylex> Ymphect> Tyranocif
Tyranitar, like Dragonite and Machamp, is primarily used offensively. It is a good Pokémon that has a multitude of different movement options that can be used depending on the opponent. Bite, Crunch, and Stone Edge are all great moves he can learn, giving trainers a few choices in combat.
Parecool> Vigoroth> Turn off
Extinction is kind of like Blistering because it's a good tank Pokemon. It's an ideal second choice behind Popsicle, or if a gym already has a Popsicle, as both can provide excellent defense to keep it in your team's hands.
Barpau> Milobellus
While Milobellus isn't the best Pokemon, it's much easier to get anything else on this list. Most Pokemon need 100-150 candy to evolve, plus all the candy and stardust needed to max out its CP value. Trainers only need to evolve Milobellus once from Barpau, making it a good second option for Trainers looking to start their journey.
Terhal> Métang> Métalosse
One of the most well-rounded Pokémon in the game, getting a Metagross is a great option for any trainer looking for a fantastic all-rounder with strong attack and defense and solid stamina. The Psychic and Steel typing are relatively favorable, and with the Psychic, Flash Cannon, Zen Headbutt, and Bullet Punch moves, you have a solid set of moves to go with the stats.
Griknot> Carmache> Carchacrok
Possibly the strongest non-legendary Pokemon in the main series (it's considered pseudo-legendary), Garchomp is also one of the biggest hitters in Pokemon GO. A devastating combination of Dragon Tail and Outrage in PVE is one of the strongest in the game, while Mud Shot with Outrage/Earthquake offers fantastic options to go with its powerful stats. Finding a Griknot is incredibly difficult, however, it will take some time to find it.
Riolu> Lucario
The mascot of the Sinnoh region, Lucario is a popular Pokemon and a great choice to pick up. A diverse selection of moves to choose from to go with a standout attack stat means Lucario can be a power hitter against almost any type of Pokemon. The strike should also help in battles, and since it would only require one evolution, 50 Candies is all Riolu needs to get them.
Funecire> Melancolux> Chandelure
Although the level of investment for Chandelure can be high, the payoff is worth it as it is an incredibly powerful Pokémon for your team. Powerful Ghost and Fire-type with great attack rating and sold defense and stamina stats, plus Fire Spin which is a decent attack in Pokemon GO, Shadow Ball and Overheat provide plenty of great attacks to help your case.
