Terrakion is a Fighting and Rock-type Legendary Pokémon from the Unova region. It is available in Pokémon GO. Like all Legendary Pokémon that appear in Raid Battles, Terrakion only appears in five-star raids, making it difficult to defeat and capture.
Defeat Terrakion
After finding a Raid Battle with Terrakium as the Raid Boss, you'll need to defeat it in combat before you can attempt to grab it. Because it's difficult, you should only attempt it with a good number of teammates, at least 10-15, if not more. You will earn The Strength bonus by teaming up with The people on your friends list. So bring friends, if you can.
When choosing which Pokémon to use in battle, there are a few things to keep in mind. First of all, given how powerful Terrakion is, you should only use Pokemon with CP below 2, ideally closer to 000 or even higher. Remember that Terrakium is a fighting and rock type, which makes it weaker to Water, Grass, Fighting, Ground, Psychic, Steel, and Fairy moves. During this time, it resists Normal, Fire, Poison, Bug, Rock, and Dark moves.
If you happen to have Mewtwo, Lugia, Groudon, Kyogre, Dialga, or Palkia, these are the perfect additions to your party when you take on Terrakium. If you're short on Legends, other good Pokémon include Metagross, Garchomp, Rhinastoc, and Gyarados.
Catch the Terrakium
If you and your teammates manage to defeat Terrakium, then you will have the chance to attempt to catch up. Depending on your combat performance, you will receive multiple Premier Balls. You will only be allowed to use these Premier Balls when attempting to catch that Legendary Pokemon, not any of your Poké, Great, or Ultra Balls.
Since the number of Premier Balls you receive comes from your combat performance, there are a few things you can do to optimize the number of Premier Balls you receive. First, simply battling your strongest Pokemon, dealing the most damage possible, will earn you The Premier Balls. You will also get it if you team up with The friends on your friend list, or The members of your colored team when you face Terrakium in battle.
As for Terrakion, it works like any other Pokemon. You throw your Premier balls trying to land them in the circle to increase your chances of catching them. However, Terrakion will move around the screen much more than most Pokemon, making it a tough target to hit. Also, even if you manage to hit Terrakion with a Premier ball, her incredibly low catch rate will make her very likely to get out of your Premier ball anyway.
To increase your chances of catching a little Terrakium, you can use a Golden Razz Berry to increase its catch rate. Regular Razz berries will also increase its catch rate a bit, but Golden Razz berries will help a lot more. However, even with this increase, Terrakium's catch rate will remain lean. Expect it to come out of most, if not all, of the Premier balls you throw.
There's a good chance that Terrakion will manage to evade capture, even if you do everything right. If this happens, you'll need to find another Raid Battle featuring the Legendary Pokemon and try again with another Raid Pass.
