Nigosier is a Flying and Water type in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Many players are likely to meet him for the first time against Hop in the middle of the game. It no longer scales anything, and it is weak against Electric and Rock type attacks.
He has the unique ability of Gulp Missile. Each time the Pokémon uses the surf or dive attack, it comes back with a Pokémon in its mouth, which it can then shoot at its opponent in battle. The type of Pokémon in which it returns in the mouth changes.
You have a few chances to find it throughout the game. You can find him wandering around the Overworld in the Wild Area, especially Bridge Field and Stony Wilderness, while it's raining. However, your chances are slim, with a two percent chance for Bridge Field and five percent for Stony Wilderness.
The last area in the Wild Area is Lake Outrage, which you can access after upgrading Rotom Bicycle to cross the water. Although it only appears as an exclamation mark, you won't know if it is until you fight it.
Nigosier can be found in other places in the game. You have the chance to see him on Route 9 and in Circhester Bay, on the same route. You have a much higher chance of capturing it, and it happens in all weathers. If you're really after this Pokemon, Route 9 might be your best way to add it to your collection.
Nigosier also has a max raid available, but due to the number of Pokemon that can spawn in the raid, you have a better chance of capturing it almost anywhere else.
