Mystery Gifts are making a comeback in Pokémon Sword and Shield, which is sure to make people happy. Who doesn't like gifts? Using the Mystery Gift feature grants you essential Pokémon, items, and resources to help you become the best trainer you can be.
To get Mystery Gifts, follow the steps below:
- Start the game, choose your starter Pokemon and progress a bit in the game.
- Press X to open the main menu. Then select the Mystery Gift option.
- Wait for the game to discover all available Mystery Gifts. They will then be downloaded automatically.
We noticed that the Mystery Gift option became available in the main menu after playing a game containing a Wooloo that we were trying to help. It's not there since the start of the game, so don't worry if you don't see the Mystery Gift option in the menu yet.
Mystery Gifts items go in your bag, clothes will be available in the Shop, and BP will be added when you check your league card. Pokémon will be added to your box, so there will be no need to visit a Pokémon Center.
As a side note, if you have a card in your deck that gives you a special meowth which can be Gigantamax, carefully follow the instructions on the card to get it.
