All the steps to get a Shadow Mewtwo in Pokemon Go
To get Shadow Mewtwo, you must first pick up the Ultra Beast Protection Efforts Special Research. The Ultra Beast Protection Efforts Special Research will unlock and allow you to begin the process of capturing a Shadow Mewtwo. To complete the Ultra Beast Special Research, you must complete a series of four stages, each with three objectives. Here are all the four stage objectives you need to complete to get the Shadow Mewtwo in Pokemon Go:
All Pokemon Go Phase 1 Objectives Special Ultra Beast Protection Efforts
Completing the first set of objectives will reward players with 2k XP, a Rocket Radar, and over 15 Great Bullets. The Radar earned in this first stage is needed to track down the three Team Go Rocket bosses in the next stage. Use the first radar and you'll reveal their hideouts on the world map.
- Vaincre six Team Rocket Go Grunts
- Rewards – Ten Hyper Potions.
- Catch four Shadow Pokémon
- Rewards – Ten Pokeballs.
- Purify two Shadow Pokemon
- Rewards – Ten Pinap Berries.

All Pokemon Go Special Ultra Beast Protection Efforts Achieve Two Purposes
To complete this stage, you must defeat three Rocket Leaders, which reward 2500 XP, 1k Stardust, and a Super Rocket Radar. You need to use the Super Rocket Radar to reveal Giovanni's location. Beating Giovani will allow you to capture a Shadow Mewtwo.

All Pokemon Go Phase Three Objectives Special Ultra Beast Protection Efforts
To complete the third stage of the Ultra Beast Protection Efforts Special Research, you must use the Super Rocket Radar to reveal Giovanni's location. After getting the location, beating it will reward 3k XP, two Golden Razz Berries, and a single Lucky Egg. During the final fight, you will encounter a Shadow Mewtwo. Use your best Pokeballs and Razz Berries for the best chance of capturing them

All Protection Special Efforts Ultra Beast Special Research Four Objectives
The final step is to claim three 2500k XP rewards. The three 2 XP rewards added to the last 500 XP reward add up to a total of 000 XP. Other rewards players get in this final stage include two Silver Pinap Berries and over 5k Stardust.
