Niantic has announced a new event for Pokémon GO players. The Bug Out! The 2022 event runs from Wednesday, August 10, 2022 through Tuesday, August 16, 2022. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 20 p.m. local time. Pokémon GO has held bug-themed events in the past, each usually debuting a few new Pokémon for players to track down.

For the Bug Out! 2022 Event, players can catch three first Pokémon. Grubbin, Charjabug and Vikavolt. These Pokémon are all part of the same evolutionary line. Grubbin evolves into Charjabug by using 25 Grubbin Candy and then into Vikavolt by using 100 Grubbin Candy. Unfortunately, none of these Gen Seven Pokemon can be Shiny, although they are still worth farming during the event due to Candy's high requirement for evolution.
