Popular Roblox YouTuber RussoPlays releases his latest Roblox developer project in just a few hours. Pet Fighters Simulator is set to release at 17 p.m. ET on Friday, November 19, 2021 and with it a new experience styled similarly to the AAA series, Pokémon and popular Roblox experiences, Pet Simulator X and Anime Fighters Simulator. After the release of Russo's previous Roblox experience, Tapping Gods, which didn't see the smoothest launch process, Russo and his team aim to iron out any issues before releasing Pet Fighters Simulator to the public.
Like Pokémon, Pet Fighters Simulator begins with a cinematic introduction and tutorial, followed by the prompt to choose a starter companion, or in this case, a pet. From there, players are encouraged to explore the main Pet Fighters Simulator hub to get a sense of the experience. Mudballs scattered around the hub can be battled for coins, which can then be used to unlock more areas or buy more eggs for pets, similar to the Roblox experiences mentioned above.
However, unlike Pet Simulator X, Pet Fighters Simulator also offers players quests to complete for XP and coins, rather than just relying on the typical AFK farming method. The overarching story of Pet Fighters Simulator asks players to find out who turned all the innocent pets in the experiment into monsters and stop them. Along the way, they'll pass through various areas, encounter enemies and bosses, and collect new pets to fight with.
So far, the announcement of this experience has been well received by fans, with a majority of Twitter users saying they're excited to play something new.

However, with Pet Simulator X's recent social downfall, some fans are keeping their hopes low for the new releases in terms of the pay-to-win (p2w) privileges that inevitably come from a majority of simulator-style games and experiences.

However Pet Fighters Simulator performs, Russo probably won't have to worry about his plans with even more releases to come. Anime Battle Tycoon and Project Blue will be released in the coming weeks, Roblox Battles Season 3 is set to release in 2022, and Jetpack Jumpers, another Russo game, just released its beta on November 9, 2021.
