What is Roblox Deepwoken? | Tips and Tricks for Beginners

For those looking to be truly challenged throughout their Roblox gameplay, the anime RPG Deepwoken may be what you're looking for. Reminiscent of the notoriously difficult action-RPG Dark Souls, Deepwoken uses permadeath features and, most notably, a twist on the infamous humanity system. Taken from the experience launch page, the official description of Deepwoken made by the developers is as follows:

Deepwoken is a difficult game with permanent character death. Losing characters is a part of the game to be expected. Seek your destiny on an unforgiving sea and unravel the mysteries of a dying world. Discover and modify powerful abilities, find unique strengths, and develop your character into a force to be reckoned with. Try desperately to escape the horrors that lurk just below the waves. Whatever you do, your story needs to be told.

Although how Deepwoken is played depends on the user, there is a plot that can be followed at any time. NPCs can be found around the Deepwoken map that will give many quests, items to help your character level up, and clues on where enemy locations can be found. By following these quests, the player will go through the main plot of the experience, although there is such a specific order or time period in which these quests must be completed.

Deepwoken uses both a linear narrative and an open-world exploration style to allow each player to create their own story. Users can also play aspects of Deepwoken multiple times, so no two plays need be the same.

Characteristics of permadeath

As mentioned earlier, Deepwoken uses a permadeath mechanic, meaning players have two lives, followed by a redemption life in The Depths. Third life in The Depths is given as a last resort to players who have died twice in the normal world of Deepwoken. This mechanic is similar to that of Dark Souls, where players are transformed into their hollow form after death and given the option to consume an element of humanity to return. In order to return to the surface in Deepwoken, players must escape the Depths without being killed by the monsters lurking in the depths.

If players are killed in The Depths, their account is wiped entirely, with all previous Deepwoken save data being removed from their account. Upon respawning, players will be at level one and will have to start the entire experience over from the beginning.

The Attributes menu is used in Deepwoken to help players track their character's strengths, weaknesses, and talents.

Advantages and disadvantages

The attributes below are the pros and cons, which serve as permanent advantages and disadvantages for a user's character. Each time a character receives a boon, they must also receive some defect. These possible advantages and shortcomings are listed below.
