For players who wish to stop their Pokemon from evolving, they have a few methods available to them in Pokemon Sword and Shield. An easy way to prevent the Pokémon from evolving is to give it the Stasis Stone, which works on all Pokémon holding it. You have the possibility of acquiring it exceptionally early.
You can find it during the first part of the game in Turffield, where you face the first Pokémon Gym leader. Once there, from the Pokémon Center, go right and continue until you can take your first left. It's a minor incline with wooden stakes on either side. Go down, then take the first left you have left.
You should come to a dead end to find a shiny point, which should be the Stasis Stone. This location is where you can find the first one at the earliest.
Luckily, there are places where you can start farming a Stasis Stone for multiple Pokémon during your adventures. The only other location in the game is in Bridge Field in the Wild Area. You need to locate the Digging duo, which is right next to the nursery on the east side of the map. Go to them and pay them 500 Watts to dig for you. They are lucky enough to discover a Stone Stasis during their search.
