Eek! It's a rumor that makes this scribe rather excited. A Plague Tale: Innocence is one of the most underrated games of 2019, but that hasn't stopped people from buying it - the game and RPG GreedFall have boosted revenue for publisher Focus Home Interactive by 80%. It's no wonder, then, that a sequel is supposedly in the works.
Originally reported by Xbox Squad and later picked up by Eurogamer, the title is slated for launch in 2022, making it a PlayStation 5 game. we announced last year that we were collaborating with Asobo on a future project, but we never confirmed if it was a sequel to A Plague Tale โ and we'll give more details about the title when the good time is coming.โ
Xbox Squad claims that the COO of Focus Home Interactive has confirmed the details and the game should be officially unveiled next year, but we very much doubt that. A 2021 reveal seems a little more realistic if the game is truly in development, however, we can't imagine Asobo Studio wanting to enchant its fans for too long.
