The launch of New World has become the second biggest launch of 2021 by far, with over 320 concurrent logged-in players waiting to both launch and play New World.
320k is also 178 less than the largest reported CCU. That number currently sits at 498 for Valheim, making New World the second biggest launch of 000 so far.
That number, of course, is sure to grow as more players jump into the world of New World, as servers open at their allotted time.
New World has also received critical acclaim during beta, alphas, and open beta, and it's been cited as reviving the MMORPG genre, which seems to be true with its current CCU.

Speaking of which, Lost Ark, another game made by Amazon Games, is sure to experience a similar trend. The reason for this is that Lost Ark has also received a lot of praise from fans and is in a similar genre.
But, how it will compare to Valheim and New World remains unclear, but we're confident big waves will be made on the game's launch day.
