Valheim was a blockbuster release, selling over 5 million copies in record time and, for being an early access title, has a great deal of polish with minimal issues, bugs or glitches. That said, there is still a lot to do and while the development team is working hard on the game's roadmap, it hasn't gone unnoticed by the modding community, who have created a number of significant Valheim mods. , even revolutionary. .
In this slideshow, we take a look at five mods that give Valheim that extra buck you might not have known you wanted. These all come from the Nexus Mods mod manager as the game does not yet have native support on Steam. Along with that, you can find texture pack after texture pack to make your world seed look exactly the way you want, though we won't include them here.
First person view
Sometimes all we really need is a change of perspective. In this case, modder Kailen_ decided that Valheim could do Skyrim-style first-person action. This mod does exactly what it says on the box, while also allowing you to fully zoom in on the view for a Viking view of the beautiful world around you.
It is useful for hunting deer and boar in the dense brush of the Meadows and Black Forest biomes. It is also useful for surveying new biomes to detect dangers and enemies before entering them.

Gear and Quick Slots
Having separate slots for equipped armor is such a standard practice that it's surprising such a feature isn't already baked into Valheim, and it seems modder Randyknapp felt the same way. This mod fits so seamlessly into Valheim, making splitting stacks and dropping items less mandatory, that it wouldn't be surprising if the developers tried to make it an essential addition to the game.
With gear slots for all your bronze armor (or any other armor), plus three quick slots to keep your food, mead, or healing potions ready to use at a moment's notice, it's a must-have Valheim mod.

Crafts from containers
Craft from Containers is one of those useful quality of life mods that lets you pop out of nearby containers to craft, build, ram, cook, and power up the game's various crafting stations and workbenches.
Made by Aedenthorn, this mod is great for when you're building your room and have piles and piles of stone and wood that would otherwise have massively overloaded you. Hundreds of trips to your various chests are a thing of the past!

Map synchronization
This is a must-have Valheim mod if you're playing the Viking survival game co-op, allowing you and your cadre to split up and explore the map while sharing your discoveries.
It's worth noting that the Benocs map sync mod is client-side, not server-side, so all players will need to have it installed on their game file. If you're wondering how else to place map markers, we have a nifty guide on that.

Valheim More
Last but not least is Valheim Plus, an extensive collection of quality of life modding options. This one is so vast that it covers much of the same ground as the other individual mods, making it the go-to Valheim mod right now.
Valheim Plus lets you configure things like stamina usage and regeneration, processing speed of resources like iron ore in the smelter, weight, and even workbench radius. Additionally, it adds more options when it comes to building your base, whether with wood or stone, and the overall difficulty of the game. If you're looking for a highly customizable Valheim experience, then this is the mod for that.
It is highly recommended to read the entire mod page before installing this mod, as the instructions are quite detailed.
