There are many options in the world of VTuber, and it seems like more are added every time you watch. We have compiled our favorite software for VTubers. We have provided a variety of programs, from free character creation to high-quality streaming software.
Wakaru

For the aspiring VTuber who has yet to acquire all of the gear normally associated with VTuber, such as a VR headset, Wakaru is a great option. All you need to get started is a mobile phone with a camera or camera installed on your computer. Face controls are still detected using the camera and you can manually control the body. The software is available for free on Steam.

Luppet is one of the most successful software in the VTuber community. It has consistent features, constant updates and fixes, and attractive design styles. You need LeapMotion and a webcam to get started with this software, along with payment of at least $46 (based on the current Japanese Yen conversion rate). Although the payment required may be off-putting to some, the high quality of service, as well as the range of features such as extended movements, make it worth it to many.

This option is ideal for streamers or content creators who want to express themselves not only digitally, but also artistically. This software is unique in that it does not even require a camera to operate. Your VTuber character will draw while your graphics tablet is connected, so it actually works over a set range of motion, rather than following you. There is a free trial, as well as a paid version that costs around $10.

VRoid is one of the most popular software on our list, and for good reason. VRoid is not a VTuber performance or streaming software, but rather a character creator. This makes it extremely versatile and gives you the power to have more control over your performance on different streaming software. The best news is that it's completely free.

Animaze is another VTuber character creation software, much like VRoid. One area where it surpasses the former is that it offers a wide range of art styles, rather than just cartoons. There is a free version of Animaze, but it comes with a watermark and limited customization options. There are several tiers above the free option, with the cheapest starting at $19,99 per year.
