Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was a huge Kickstarter success, raising over $5,5 million to help fund the game's development. Luckily, it also proved to be a great title when it launched in summer. last year, earning a 9/10 rating in the PS4 Games Tip review. Koji Igarashi and co have continued to update the 2D experience since then, but one of its most interesting expansion goals from the original Kickstarter pledge has now been dropped.
For raising $5 million, players were supposed to get a Roguelike mode after launch, but that will no longer be the case. Igarashi took to the game's Kickstarter page to say that the code created early in the game's development is not compatible with this particular style of play. "For this reason, we regret to announce that we will not be developing Roguelike as part of the project's planned expansion goals." Instead, fans will get a new Randomize mode for free.
This will be a new selectable option for starting a new game – allowing you to change up to eight different settings that will affect the game. You will be able to change the location of key items, shuffle stores and change enemy targets . The game guarantees that you won't be able to stop yourself from progressing in a bad luck move, with the seed you create having the chance to be shared with your friends.
