Candescent Armor is one of two focal points in Destiny 2022's Solstice of Heroes 2, the other being the trusses for a Something New Hand Cannon or Compass Rose Shotgun god roll. You'll collect Silver Leaf, Silver Ash, and spend Ignition to upgrade and reroll event armor for perfect stat distribution. While you can target the stat that gets the most love, there's no way to account for the other five.
This guide will cover how to get and upgrade Candescent Armor so you can start grinding for the perfect set.
How to Get and Upgrade Candescent Armor in Solstice of Heroes 2022
Acquiring your first set of Glowing Armor is easy. Just go to the tower and talk to Eva Levante, the Solstice event vendor. She will give you a full set of equipment. Your next task is to start the leveling process by unlocking the event map challenges and then start collecting Kindling and Silver Ash. Here are the steps.
Step 1: Bonfire
Head into the EAZ and complete a Bonfire Bash activity, then return to Eva. This will unlock your first Solstice Event Challenge. Claim it to reveal the remaining 23 and receive your first Kindling unit.
Step 2: Apply Kindling
Head to the menu for any Candescent armor piece and hover over the fifth mod slot. This is your Kindling location. You'll need a total of six Kindlings to fully upgrade the piece of armor, all from event map challenges.
Spend one unit for small kindling, two for large kindling, and three for all revived. Once a particular piece of the Glow Armor is fully revived, you don't need to do it again for that character. The piece of armor will have a white glow.
Step 3: Apply silver ash to soaked embers
Once you've applied a level of Kindling to your armor, you can begin applying Silver Ash to it. You get Silver Ash by burning Silver Leaves in Bonfire Bash, and at first you can only use it once in a pile of 20.
If your armor is fully revived, which requires six ignitions in total, you can apply Silver Ash three times, for a total of 100 units of the material. After spending 100 Silver Ash, you will be able to do this, allowing you to reroll armor stats once focusing on your chosen stat.
Step 4: reroll and repeat
With Shining Embers applied to your armor, you can spend a final 60 Silver Ash to apply Sparks, rerolling armor stats, and getting a guaranteed +20 to your chosen stat. Unequip your Ghost mods, as these interfere with reviving. Season of the Haunted is all about the Resilience stat, so focus on that first.
Once you reroll the armor, all upgrade nodes will disappear and you will need to return to Eva to purchase another piece. The process of applying Silver Ash and rerolling then repeats endlessly until you have a stat spread you like.
Upgrading and rerolling Candescent Armor can be a little tedious, but it's the easiest and most consistent way to get the stats you want on your armor right now.
