Fortnite now has multiple vehicles you can drive, from cars to pickup trucks to massive trucks. Just like in the real world, cars don't run on hopes and dreams, and you'll need to find gas if you want to keep driving around the map. There are two ways to gas up your car, and it can be a little tricky to figure out at first.
Petrol pumps
The main lane is at the gas pumps, at one of the many gas stations located all over the map. Drive your vehicle carefully and park next to a gas pump. If you crash into it, it will explode, so be very careful. Face the gas pump and press the guest interact button and you'll grab the handle, then face your car and press the trigger you normally use to fire your gun.
Gas will start squirting out of the pipe and once you get close enough to the car it will start to fill it. You will see a percentage counter increase when it is running. When the car is full, jump in and drive away. If you walk too far from a pump while holding the handle, it will simply reset, so be sure to park close enough to the pump to fill your car.
Gas canisters
You can also find red gas canisters all over the map. These can be stored in your inventory if you pick them up and will allow you to refuel a car wherever you are, making them perfect for off-roading in the game. Have at least one in your inventory if you plan to drive a difficult route around the map, as you might end up nowhere near a gas station and run out of fuel.
