Fortnite might get non-combat mode, new map

Fortnite might get non-combat mode, new map

Fortnite's 12.50 update is available for download today, so dataminers are already breaking it apart, finding all kinds of cool stuff.

ShiinaBR has discovered something very exciting, as it looks like a new map is on the way to the game. This won't replace the battle royale map, but would seem to host a new mode with no fighting or building.

The new island is said to be home to several mini-games as well as special phone booths that will allow you to change skins mid-game. The new mode could be called Party Royale, and although hopes were high that it would go live in-game after today's update, there was no sign in-game yet.

According to a description taken from the game's files, you'll be able to "leave your weapons and mats behind and hang out with friends", so it seems the point of the new island, and the new mode, is to provide a nice place to hang out. relax for you and your buds. If you look closely at the map in the tweet, you'll notice that one of the symbols appears to be a Quadcrusher, which could make for a really fun mini-game.

When the mode will actually go live in-game is unknown, but it could very well appear before the season ends on June 4. In other Fortnite news, posters have started appearing in-game that tease Season 3 and seem to be telling us to wait out the rain.
