The game tells the story of the prince of Troy, in Paris, who flees with the queen of Sparta. The game gives players the option to save or destroy Troy.
As gamers are rushing to download the game after claiming it for free, many gamers are reporting that the game download is very slow on the Epic Games Store. This is most likely due to server overload, and considering this is a new title, many players are downloading the game immediately. On top of that, this is a Fortnite update that was released just a few hours ago, which might also increase server load.
A similar trend was seen when GTA V was free on the Epic Games Store. Many gamers were unable to download the game at proper speeds for several hours after it became free-to-play. It is expected that download issues with A Total War Saga: TROY will resolve fairly quickly once the load decreases and players should be able to download at normal speeds thereafter.
