Repentance is here, the next DLC for The Binding of Isaac Rebirth! In this new DLC they even added a co-op mode, where up to four players can play together!
How to Play Coop by Binding Isaac Repentance
Playing co-op in The Binding of Isaac Repentance is incredibly simple, but it's also not something you'd instantly do in a new game. There's no main menu feature that says Co-op or anything. of its kind, nor automatic when connecting a second controller.
Co-op can only be accessed in the first starting room of your race, and all you have to do is press start on whatever controller you're using, and co-op mode will activate. Don't leave this room until your friends have joined.
However, it's not like normal local play, where two controllers can be used. The host must play using a keyboard and the other players must use controllers. This is the only way to play co-op in The Binding of Isaac Repentance. It may not be the ideal gaming experience players hope for, but True Coop is in the game.
Even if you want to play on Steams Remote Play / Share Play with a friend on the net, nothing changes. Anyone other than the host should always use a controller. This may change in the future, but at the moment this is the only way!
