Behavior Interactive has added cross-play functionality to Dead by Daylight after repeated request from its community. Xbox, PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation players can use the feature and play with friends from other platforms. To enable crossplay, you need to enable the crossplay checkbox in the settings menu and add your friend to your friends list.

While crossplay can help reduce matchmaking time, the main intention is to play with your friends from other devices.
- Open any game mode like Play as Survivor and click on the friend tab.
- On the tab, click the Add Friend icon to open the text box. Type your friend's name with the appropriate tag ID. Format: xyz#123
- Tell your friend to accept your request and start playing!
Remember that you won't be able to play with friends from the mobile platform, as the mobile version is a separate standalone game. But, mobile users can play between their iOS and Android counterparts.
