On September 13, as part of the Tokyo Game Show, Nintendo released its latest Direct, showcasing dozens of new titles. But if you don't have time to watch the nearly 45-minute video, fear not! We've recapped everything that was announced on September 13 on Nintendo Direct.
Fire Emblem Engage
The latest entry in the Fire Emblem series, and seemingly more of a crossover series in the vein of Fire Emblem Heroes. The big surprise was the return of Marth, one of the most iconic members of past Fire Emblem games. The release date was announced for January 1, 2023.
It takes two
The wildly popular two-player co-op platformer is getting a split-screen Switch adaptation, with the ability to play across multiple systems as well. It releases on November 4, but pre-orders are available from September 13.
FATAL FRAME: Lunar Eclipse Mask
Everyone's favorite ghost shot simulator returns with FATAL FRAME: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse. This horror game series hasn't seen many recent releases, so it's fantastic to see it again. It will be available in early 2023
Passe d’extension Vague 2 pour Xenoblade Chronicles 3
This Xenoblade Chronicles 3 expansion adds the robot Ino and adds a new Challenge Battle mode to help you unlock new outfits.

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Jerk
A new Nintendo Switch SpongeBob SquarePants game for (). A platformer with a cartoony flair, it seems the success of the nostalgic journey remaster of Battle for Bikini Bottom has clearly sparked something. Available 2023.
Fitness Boxing Fist of the North Star
An adaptation that I don't think anyone saw coming, a Fist of the North Star boxing game. Featuring a drill mode, battle mode, and boss mode. It's probably the craziest fitness game we've seen in a long time. Coming March 2023
oddballers
Oddballers is a cute dodgeball board game, which feels like an awesome new game in the vein of things like Overcooked and Mario Party. Can be played online and in split screen. Coming early next year.
Tunic
Another adaptation for the Nintendo Switch, the cute adventure game Tunic will hit the console on September 27th. Pre-orders are available now.
Front Mission 1st : Remake & Front Mission 2 : remake
Another return from a surprising IP, Front Mission 1 & 2 are being remade for the Nintendo Switch. One of the foundational bot-fighting tactical RPGs, this remaster seems like a return to the format that made games great. Available 2023.
Story of the Seasons: A Wonderful Life
Even More Returning IP Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is a remake of Game Cube's Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. Instant nostalgia for many, this game seems to have done the remaster well, because in our minds, that's still what A Wonderful Life looked like. Coming summer 2023.
Splatoon 3 Splatfest

Splatoon 3's first Splatfest will take place from September 23 through September 25, starting and ending at 17:00 PM PT. The theme is "What would you bring to a desert island?"
Octopath Traveler II
It's a return to the classic, nostalgic format that made the original so successful. Octopath Traveler II looks like it will scratch the itch everyone has for classic JRPGs. Launching February 24, 2023.

A new farming and flora simulation, Fae Farm from Phoenix Labs is a farming simulation RPG to scratch the eternal itch of fans of this genre. Fish, farm and make friends in a cute setting. Spring 2023 releases
Theatrical final measuring line
A rhythm game based solely on classic Final Fantasy music. Paying homage to 35 years of Final Fantasy games, this is your chance to play songs from all 15 currently released games.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
A new Rabbids game feels like an open-world RPG that sees Rabbids characters and Mario teaming up. Mario RPG fans, this might be the closest thing to a new entry! Released October 20.
Rune Factory 3 special
A special edition of the quintessential RPG Farm game, Rune Factory 3 Special adds new features. Available 2023.
New Unnamed Rune Factory Series
The conclusion of the Rune Factory 3 Special trailer announced that a new series was in development.

Several N64 games have been announced to be added to the Eshop. Below we have listed them and their release year:

Varied daily life
A slice of life RPG with traditional JRPG trappings, Divers Daylife seems like a grinder's dream, as it promises over 100 daily tasks and a grand adventure into the unknown. It was launched on September 13.
Factorio pour Switch
Factorio was the game that ate hundreds of hours of many people's lives, with its intricate factory building and bug-busting gameplay. Now it's getting a Nintendo Switch version so you can Factorio on the go. Released October 28

A LoFi 2d horror game. It looks like one of those fantastic fan games that you should usually browse itch.io for, but it's getting a full-fledged Switch version. Spring 2023 releases
Mario Strikers: Battle League Roster Update
Pauline and Diddy Kong are coming to Mario Strikers: Battle League. Pauline is described as a "physical powerhouse" and Diddy as a "midfield speedster". The free update will launch later in September.
Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End and the Secret Key
The most popular game in the Atelier series gets its third game with the release of Atelier Ryza 3 on February 24, 2023. Atelier Ryza has managed to balance the odd mix of complexity and accessibility that Atelier games have strived for. , so it's no surprise to see it get another game.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass
New courses for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, including:
- Merry Mountain (from Mario Kart Tour)
- Peach Gardens (from Mario Kart DS)
These are just two of the courses added in Wave 3, available this holiday.
Free Nintendo Switch Sports Update
Golf is added in the free Nintendo Switch Sports update, with courses familiar from Wii Golf and with online play. The update has also been pushed back to Holiday 2022.
Shigeru Miyomoto makes announcements
Miyomoto gave an update on the Super Mario anime movie, saying it will be released next spring.

Additionally, the theme park attraction Super Nintendo World will be released in the United States at Universal Studios Hollywood.
He also made several announcements about Pikmin, announcing Pikmin Bloom, a mobile device game in the same vein as Pokémon Go.
Pikmin 4
Miyomoto announced Pikmin 4, but gave few details other than stating that the Switch has made controlling Pikmin easier than ever.
Just Dance Edition 2023
A so-called endless party experience, Just Dance 2023 Edition will be released in November 2022.
Bayonet 3
Bayonetta 3 for Switch has been revealed with amazing new gameplay features, showing Bayonetta battling incredible enemies. The game releases on October 28, with pre-orders available now.
Master Detective Rain Code Archives
A detective RPG that lets you gather evidence, then enter a mysterious realm to explore a maze in order to solve the case. A unique RPG that will be released in the spring of 2023.
Cloud Resident Evil Village
A cloud version of Resident Evil Village is heading to Switch. It's a great way to get a very resource-intensive game on the Nintendo Switch and into the hands of more players. It releases on October 28, but a free demo is now available
Sifu
Sifu, the action brawler where if you die, you grow old is coming to Nintendo Switch on November 8, but pre-orders are open now.
Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- Reunion
Zack fans can finally experience their favorite character in the modern Final Fantasy VI system as this Crisis Core adaptation comes to Nintendo Switch. Releases on December 13
Radiant Silvergun
This shoot-em-up classic comes to Nintendo Switch with enhanced graphics and a silky smooth framerate. This should be the perfect way to experience this game. It launched on September 13th.
Endless dungeon
A procedurally generated cooperative dungeon crawler, this is a top-down survival game with a unique twist. It arrives in 2023.
Contes de Symphonia remastered
Perhaps the most popular of all Tales games, Tales of Symphonia is being remastered and released for Nintendo Switch. It comes out in early 2023.

Kirby Return to DreamLand Deluxe
A Nintendo Switch adaptation of Kirby Return to DreamLand features new Copy Abilities, such as Mecha. There is also a four-player local game and mini-games. Available from February 24, 2023.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Finally, Nintendo has unveiled The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom! A sequel to Breath of the Wild, it's one of the first sequels to a mainline Zelda game in years, and it definitely stole the show. We also got a solid release date, for May. 12, 2023.
