Deep Silver and Volition have been working on the highly anticipated reboot of the popular Saints Row franchise. With nearly a decade since Saints Row IV, the action-adventure franchise drought will come to an end in 2022, but players will have to wait a bit longer than expected.

On November 17, 2021, Volition Creative Director Jim Boone announced that the Saints Row reboot will no longer be released on February 25, 2022. Instead, the game will debut on August 23, 2022.

Jim Boone said the original date would thwart their creative vision to achieve the standards the team had set for themselves. Deep Silver and Volition want to make sure the game is as polished and tuned as possible when the game launches in the fall 2022 window.

The Saints Row reboot is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Launcher in 2022 and is available for pre-order now.
