With Total War: Warhammer 3 delayed until 2022, developers Creative Assembly have started to slowly feed community previews and trailers to satisfy their fans. With the revelation of factions like Kislev and Cathay, it was clearly time for some of the more chaotic armies to get to grips with melee.
That's where today's reveal (December 8) comes in. The forces of Slaanesh, one of the Four Chaos Gods, have been officially unveiled as a faction in the upcoming game. The news was revealed when Creative Assembly dropped a brand new trailer on the Total War YouTube channel.

The forces of Slaanesh are dedicated to the pursuit of lust and desire, finding pleasure in the suffering of others. Their pink and purple color palette, monstrous creatures with uncomfortably long tongues, and armies bent on hedonism and debauchery.
Needless to say, fans are very excited about Slaanesh's inclusion. While a few Slaaneshi units have already made their way into Total War: Warhammer games and several armies and factions have referenced the Chaos God of Slaanesh, this is the first time that many of their iconic units will be playable.
This of course means Daemonettes, Seekers, Reptilian Steeds, Fiends of Slaanesh, and of course, the Great Daemon of Slaanesh, the Keeper of Secrets. According to various traditional sources, the Keeper of Secrets "knows the innermost desires of every mortal being and will use this horrific knowledge to gain power over his enemies." How that plays out in Total War: Warhammer 3 remains to be seen, but it's certainly gruesome, but very satisfying to play.
