Battlefield 2042 does combined arms warfare like no other game out there. Tanks, along with other vehicles, play a major role in the pacing and flow of the game. However, these vehicles can be annoying, especially for infantry players.
The game features a variety of weapons that you can use to take down tanks. Like all other games in the franchise, the rear is the weakest point of the tanks in Battlefield 2042. The amount of damage inflicted varies depending on the equipment or weapon you are using.
Battlefield 2042 currently offers two types of tanks, the M1A5 for the US team and the T28 which is available for the Russian No-Pats. The most effective gadgets against such vehicles include the C5 explosive, the recoilless M5 and the anti-tank mine.

FPS Tactics, a Battlefield 2042 YouTuber, discovered during his testing that an AT mine takes 65% of the tank's health while a C5 did 38% damage. On the other hand, the M5 Launcher has a varied damage profile: 20% front, 26% side, and 33% rear.
Another great strategy for destroying tanks is to use the EMP grenade before approaching them. This disables tank weapons and gives you a good chance to stick C5 without taking damage. Additionally, Sundance Specialist carries armor-piercing grenades which are also effective against tanks.
