The Warhammer 40,000 franchise has seen many different games in many different genres. Few have been as popular as the original Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine released in 2011. Finally, after a decade, fans are getting their first look at the sequel to the third-person hack and slash game set in the universe of Warhammer 40,000.
While a trailer was shown for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II, no official release date was given. The official site only lists Coming Soon for the game. Still, fans can at least rest easy knowing that the game is in the works.

Once again, players will take control of Captain Titus, a Space Marine, and answer the call of battle. The first game saw the player battle hordes of Orks, but the sequel will see the player fight against the Tyranid instead. Whatever the enemy, there is only war.
Players can unleash deadly abilities and wield an arsenal of devastating weaponry to repel and destroy hordes of Tyranid forces before they are overwhelmed and slaughtered.
