One of the main reasons for Dallas Fuel's return was the excellent play of the Winston Fearless player, who would go on to win the MVP title. Much of the Fuel's strategy revolved around locking down Proper, Sojourn's player for the Shock. Fearless was able to dive Proper several times in the final games, which gave Edison (the Fuel's Sojorun) the chance to earn key picks.
The last game was Push on Colosseo. The San Francisco Shock actually managed to send him to overtime, winning a huge team fight in the middle of the map and getting very close to the Fuel's spawn point. However, both teams ended up with downed players and the Fuel were able to use their respawn advantage to retake the bot and win the game.
