Genshin Impact isn't too difficult a game once you get the hang of it, but it's understandably intimidating to get started. Check out these tips to help you have peace of mind and level up faster.
Genshin Impact Starting in 2022 – What I Need to Know?
- Familiarize yourself with the upgrade system and don't neglect to upgrade each area. In Genshin Impact, you can upgrade multiple areas: Artifact Levels, Adventure Rank, Constellations, Character, Talent, World Level, and Weapons. This is different from other games which can automatically upgrade all areas at once. So make sure you don't forget to balance your upgrades.
- If you're going to try and pick one area to focus on when leveling up, pick Adventure Rank. As you level up Adventure Rank, it serves to unlock quests and challenges. Increase your Adventure Rank by completing daily commissions, defeating bosses, and opening chests.
- At the very beginning, get your kicks done by completing Archon quests, which are part of the main campaign. Once you understand how quests work, choose event and seasonal quests first. Archon quests remain, but events come and go. You don't want to miss out on the exclusive rewards that come with the events.
- Don't be afraid to change things up. Getting stagnant and not disabling artifacts or other features can make you complacent with a setup that may not complement your playstyle. Don't be afraid to shake things up and find what works for you.
- Don't be afraid to spend your resin. This is because it replenishes naturally and using it early will help you move forward. Note that this does not apply to Fragile Resin, that you should be a bit more selective in your spending.
- Make sure you know your character's gear bonuses when crafting. If you don't use bonuses while crafting, you'll end up wasting more resources than necessary.
- Check redemption codes online. Codes are an easy way to get great rewards.

Be patient with the upgrade, but also be sure to find opportunities like codes and events to get special rewards and experience. Slow down if necessary to make sure you equip bonuses so you don't waste more than necessary. Spend your resources that are replenished, but be more careful with currencies or resources that are given less often.
