At some point when playing Minecraft, you will need to visit a village for raid events or to trade with villager NPCs. However, villages are difficult to find as they tend to spawn far from where players start in their Minecraft world. Luckily, in this guide, we'll explain the easiest ways to find villages in Minecraft, so stick around and keep reading below.
Best Ways to Find a Village in Minecraft
Finding a village in Minecraft will usually require you to explore a bit to find one, but this is the least desirable method you can do as it can take ages to find one. Nevertheless, if you look around in the following areas, you might eventually find a village in Minecraft naturally.
The village appears on all platforms
- Desserts
- Savannah
- Taiga
- snowy tundra
Bedrock edition only Spawns
- Sunflower
- snowy taiga
- Snowy taiga hills
- Taiga Hills
When looking for a village in Minecraft, look for lights in the distance and use large terrain objects like hills and mountains to give you a view of the land. With enough luck, you might be able to quickly locate one without any problems.
However, the easiest method is to simply tap/locate village, which will display the coordinates of the nearest village on the screen. After that, you can just follow the coordinates and find the village with no problem. Help all players as the order is limited to PC platforms, but luckily there is an easy way for console players to try and find a village.
The best way is to find a seed that has one near where the player spawns; these seeds can be found easily online if you search; in fact, we have an entire guide here dedicated just to seeds, a few of which are village spawns!
