A turtle shell is a unique helmet that the player can craft from scales left behind by baby turtles. Once the turtle shell is crafted, it can then be used as a helmet item in Minecraft.
The helmet provides a total of 2 points of armor, the same protection as an iron, chain and gold helmet – the turtle helmet will also help players breathe better underwater.
The Turtle headsets also have twice the durability of the other three headsets, with a total of 275, making them a more durable item to use.
You can also use the turtle shell to brew master turtle potion via brewing stand. The Turtle Master Potion is a unique potion that can be used to slow down both monsters and players and lower the total damage they can do.

If you turn the potion into a persistent version, you can also use it to make master turtle arrows. These arrows will have the same effect as potions but can be shot at monsters or hostile players to get the effect.
How to make a turtle shell in Minecraft?
To craft a turtle shell in Minecraft, you will need to gather scales. Scales are items dropped from baby turtles when they become adult turtles. You can find baby turtles usually in a beach biome, and if you feed it sea grass, you can grow it into an adult.
When it grows, it will leave a scale in the form of a drop. Because of this, you will need to raise a total of six baby turtles in order to get six scales to craft a turtle helmet.
