If you want to find an end city in Minecraft, you will first need to kill the ender dragon at the end. To kill the Ender Dragon, you'll first locate an end portal through a stronghold, then use multiple Eyes of Ender to open the portal.
When you've done that, you can enter the ending and kill the ender dragon. You can also kill the dragon quickly using the method explained in our how to kill ender dragon with beds in Minecraft guide.
In short, you can kill the ender dragon by blowing up beds when the ender dragon's head reaches a certain point near an obsidian pillar using a method called One Cycling. If you want to use this method correctly to kill the dragon, we also recommend you watch the video linked below.
That being said, once the ender dragon is slain, you can find a city of the end by returning to the Nether and searching one of the other islands.
However, getting to these floating islands is tricky, so we recommend bringing ender pearls. You can also use elytra, but it's more if you've already found one at the end - if you manage to find an ending city, search for an elytra on the ship.
