If you're looking to heal a zombie villager, you'll need a Splash Potion of Weakness! You'll need hard-to-find ingredients to craft them, but it'll be worth it if you're looking to convert this zombie village into a functioning community. We'll take you step-by-step through the process of getting one of these potions.
To craft a Splash Potion of Weakness, you will need 1 Firepowder, 3 Water Bottles, 1 Fermented Spider's Eye, and 1 Gunpowder! Once you've collected all of these ingredients, you'll need to place them in a Brewing Stand to create the potion.
Ingredients required
You will need four different ingredients to create the Splash Potion of Weakness.
How to Get Blaze Powder
To get Blaze Powder, you will need to get Blaze Rods. These can only be collected from the Blaze Mob, which can be found in the Nether at a Nether Fortress!
How to get bottled water
To get Water Bottles, you will need a Glass Bottle, which can be crafted with three Glass Blocks. You will then need to use the glass bottle on some water to refill it.
How to Get Fermented Spider Eye
You will need to make yourself a Fermented Spider Eye. First you'll need a Spider Eye, which you can get by killing spiders. A brown fungus, usually found in dark areas. They spawn fairly frequently in the Swamp, Giant Tree Taiga, and Mushroom Field biomes. You can also find them in The Nether, which you'll need to visit for the Firepowder. You can also veil them with a brown mooshroom!
Recipe
The recipe for creating a Splash Potion of Weakness is as follows:
- 3 bottles of water
- 1 fermented spider eye
- 1 gunpowder
Step by step guide
Make sure you have a brew stand ready and have gathered all your ingredients!
Step 1: Use Blaze Powder
Place the Blaze powder in the box at the top left of the brew stand. This will power up your station and allow you to brew potions. You will notice that the bar next to the center section of the stand will fill with golden yellow. This will slowly decrease as you craft more potions.
Step 2: Place the Water Bottles and Fermented Spider Eye
Now place the three water bottles in the lower squares of the brew stand. Once you've placed them, you can add the Fermented Spider's Eye to the top middle square to start the potion making process. It will take some time, you can watch the progress of the arrow on the right as it fills with white. Once this has bottomed out, you will have created Weakness Potions.
Step 3: Place Gunpowder
To turn Potions of Weakness into Potions of Weakness, we will need to add Gunpowder. Place a single gunpowder in the top center box and wait for it to infuse. Once completed, you will have yourself the potions of weakness you desire!
Cure zombie villagers
Once you have your Splash Potions of Weakness, you can find a zombie villager and throw it at them. Once they are under the effect of the weakness, you will then have to run towards them and give them a golden apple. You will hear a loud noise like thunder and the zombie will start shaking. It will take at least a few minutes before the zombie villager is cured!
