A new item has arrived Fortnite. Both Fireflies and Firefly Jars are available in-game if you know where to look. The main way to find Fireflies is to keep your eyes peeled as you run around the map and play the game. Fireflies can randomly spawn near trees and campfires, and you should be able to spot them as they'll give off a soft glow hot on the surrounding area.
When you find them, run and interact with them and you'll grab them mid-air and create a Firefly Pot. You can throw the Firefly Jars at enemies or structures. If you hit another player with it, it will do 40 damage to them, then deal tick damage if they stay in flames.
If you throw them at a structure, the structure will catch fire and take 10 tick damage every second until the fire is extinguished. With a bit of testing, it seems enemy structures stay on fire until they disappear, and the fire can also spread between different building panels. This makes for an interesting late-game item, as you can add a bit of annoyance to events by throwing Firefly pots at enemy builds and stripping them that way.
You can carry up to three jars of fireflies at a time, and you won't be able to harvest any more fireflies until you have a full stack.
