There are a bunch of new changes in Fortnite, the latest update for this app is called Chapter 2. There is a whole new map, new boats to pilot, costumes, a new pass, and much more. Players are going to have to explore the map when they jump into the game to discover new areas of the game, check out landmarks and other notable places. Another game mechanic is swimming, and players can do it faster than pressing Shift.
How to swim faster in Fortnite Chapter 2
When you jump into the water, players will naturally start swimming. There are no special skills available. Fortunately, Epic Games has simplified this process.
However, they didn't explain how players can swim faster by doing one simple thing when swimming: they can jump. When a player jumps into the water, they will come out of the surface and then dive. You must hit your respective "sprint" button before the jump. Your character must be in the swimming animation.
When they dive during this jump, the player receives a quick burst of speed and advances forward. This burst only lasts two seconds. When it's over, players will need to hit the jump button on their favorite gaming platform to start over.
There is no charge or cooldown. But, for speeds to be fast, players will want to wait two seconds before jumping again. For proper timing while swimming, players don't need to rely on solid ground to move quickly, and they shouldn't feel too vulnerable if they get caught in the water. It used to be easy to get stuck on one side of the river and have to cross it without enough materials to build a bridge. The new swimming mechanic makes things easier.
Jump into the Fortnite Chapter 2 update and try it out.
