Fortnite NPCs are probably here to stay
Reliable Fortnite Leaker HypeX has officially confirmed the continued existence of NPCs as Season 5: Zero Point transitions to Season 6 mid-month. NPCs will apparently have new features added as the map continues to evolve, with players being able to sell loot to NPCs in exchange for gold bars that could be spent on upgrading weapons, buying mythics, and more. Fortnite is available now for free on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Android, Mac, and PC.
While HypeX originally expected the leaked new features to be added to NPCs during Season 5: Zero Point, it looks like the change will happen next season. Fortnite's current season ends on March 15, an expected event set to live up to the high standards set by the recent Marvel season ending with Galactus trying to destroy ground zero in the center of the map.
Along with the HypeX Fortnite leak, there was a money bag icon which should be a new option to talk to Fortnite NPCs. "When you sell an expensive item, the NPC is supposed to do the 'Make It Rain' emote. I don't know if they've given up on that idea or if it's going to have limits... Also, the prices for selling loot to NPCs are the same prices as weapon upgrades. »
