Like other Souls-like games, Elden Ring will have a set of attributes that affect the classes of the game. In Elden Ring, there are eight different attributes: Vigor, Spirit, Endurance, Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Faith, and Arcane. Each of them has its own advantages and weaknesses for the effectiveness of the class in combat. Knowing what attributes do can help players decide which class is right for them at the start of their Elden Ring game.
Vigor
Vigor deals with the hit points of the player and the higher the vigor, the more hit points there are. Vigor will also reduce damage from poison and fire sources.

High stamina means high stamina. Stamina is heavily used in combat for things like blocking, attacking, sprinting, and dodging incoming hits. Stamina will also allow players to take less damage from physical attacks.

Strength
Strength has the greatest effect on combat and melee attacks. Heavy armor, heavy weapons, and carrying capacity are all affected by the Strength attribute.
