The Butcher Knife is a unique, brand-new tool that was just added with the Hearth and Home update, and it serves to add more depth to the game's taming mechanics. To craft the Butcher Knife, you you will need two wood and four pewter.
When you have both required amounts of resources, you can craft the butcher knife at a level one workbench. After crafting it, you can then use it to kill tamed creatures so you can harvest them for their resources. The tamed creatures that this knife includes are the following listed below.
