The latest season of Rainbow Six Siege โ Operation: Shadow Legacy, introduced the new scope feature that further customizes your weapons. However, the new system means that the old sensitivity values โโno longer work, which means players have to adapt to the new system.
Operation Shadow Legacy brought several new range expansions. Scopes no longer have zoom, 1x, 1,5x and 2x being the most common, but some firearms have up to 12x. With all the different zoom levels, players will have a mixed experience with their current settings. Fortunately, Ubisoft has updated the sensitivity system on all platforms, but players need to work with their old sensitivity and convert it to the new update.
To determine your new sensitivity, Ubisoft has created a handy calculator to convert your old settings. Players can also determine their sensitivity changes themselves by following the calculations and formulas behind them. Both of these options can be found in the Ubisoft Handbook.
However, as of this writing, Ubisoft's Easy Calculator is in high demand. Users may find it difficult to copy the document and set their new sensitivity. Alternatively, there are fan-made alternatives, like this one made by kurtextrem.
Console gamers should be aware that their aspect ratio defaults to 16:9 with 60 FOV. This information should help you save time when converting to your new gamepad sensitivity.
Once you find your new sensitivity values โโby any method, you can apply it in-game. To do this, launch Rainbow Six Siege and go to settings. In the settings menu, click on the controls and head to the ADS sensitivity option. From here you can start entering your converted sensitivity for each magnification.
When you have entered all the data the calculator gave you, you should try your new lens and make sure everything looks good. Good luck with the new season.
