Each Fortnite week, map changes large and small add areas of interest for players to explore. This week, new, smaller islands have appeared at the top of the map near Lockie's Lighthouse. The little coral buddies hang out there, trying to create a new civilization and generally having fun. They need your help though, as their small islands are running out of supplies.
You can help them by visiting them and bringing wood. Now there is wood on the island, but chances are another player has grabbed it by the time you get there, so be sure to pick up 100 wood along the way.
Head to the island, you'll find the Coral Buddies hanging out near a small wooden fort. You can interact with it to give them 100 Wood, which will evolve their colony. Ships will appear near small docks, showing that new pals have arrived, and the air will fill with the sounds of music and merriment as they celebrate their achievement.
You'll also get 25000 XP for helping them reach Wood Age. We assume this will change every week, with the coming Stone Age, followed by the Metal Age. Hopefully it ends up playing out like the bears and gnomes did last season, with a long history that we learn a little more about every week.
