Call of Duty: Warzone is out, and so far fans are loving Modern Warfare's take on battle royale. Warzone's guns, map, and new features are a breath of fresh air in a somewhat stale genre. However, while it's fun to play alone or with a random party, wouldn't you much rather jump around with friends?
If you like a lot of players in the community, you have friends who play on different systems. Whether on PC, PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, you rarely have a group of friends on the same platform.
Luckily, in Warzone you don't have to be on the same system as your friends to team up. Like in Modern Warfare, crossplay is enabled, meaning you can join a lobby with a PC player if you're on console and vice versa.
The way you do this is exactly like in the standard version of Modern Warfare. Simply add a player by their Activision ID, which is a custom name and unique number tag. If you don't know how to find it, go to Activision's website and log into your account. If you don't have one, create a new account.
Once logged in, go to “Profile” in the upper right corner of the screen. This will bring up your basic information, where you can find “Activision ID”. You can either add your friends with their IDs or they can add you. You'll know you've received a friend request when it appears in the "Social Media" tab in Warzone. Be sure to include the full name with correct capitalization and the full number tag when adding a friend.
If all goes well, accept the friend request, join your teammate's lobby, and you're ready to play Warzone.
