Epic Games is losing its way according to Ninja
During a recent live stream, Ninja spoke openly about his feelings about Fortnite Chapter 2, saying Epic Games had wandered off. Apparently he's in touch with folks at Epic Games to discuss the quality of the recent changes, but they haven't fixed the issue yet, according to Ninja. On the stream, Ninja also praised events like the Travis Scott concert and the Star Wars trailer and skins, but says his issue is gameplay-related. Fortnite Chapter Two Season 2 is available for mobile, Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch right now.
"You know. I'll be honest, I've talked to the guys [at Epic]. I don't know what's going on but I know more than the rest: Epic lost their way, they got lost. They lost communication, they lost community. They just lost each other," Ninja said. "Along the way there was this fucking massive disconnect. Something fell out and was never picked up. I Not saying it's a particularly bad state, but that's why Fortnite is in the state it's in. Updates, patch notes, everything." We wonder if the massive disconnect was the black hole event that kicked off Chapter Two Season One that rendered the game unplayable for 48 hours.
"We're getting cool, we had Star Wars, a Star Wars trailer, the Travis Scott event was one of the coolest things ever in gaming history," Ninja said. "No gameplay... The amazing things Fortnite can do have separated themselves from gameplay." Given his praise for recent Fortnite events, we can naturally assume that he's also looking forward to Christopher Nolan's next in-game movie.
