A few days ago, after the latest Fortnite update, dataminers found some interesting stuff in the files. Now that the Fortnitemares 2020 event is live, Fortnite has announced a Ghostbusters crossover, confirming what these mining companies have discovered. Several Ghostbusters bundles have been found called Ghostbusters Patrol, Ghostbusters Gear, and Ghostbusters Crew, as well as something called the Skull Squad Pack, which appears to be a cosmetic set of skeleton costumes.
Fortnite and Ghostbusters fans will be able to purchase Ghostbusters cosmetics to play. There are obviously the iconic jumpsuits the busters wear, a proton pack in place of Back Bling, a ghost trap, and an Ecto-1 inspired glider. The pickaxe that players can use is also inspired by proton packs. The data mining also identified Ghostbusters-related achievements, so hopefully that implies a bigger, more fleshed-out crossover like what we've seen with Marvel.

Fortnitemares 2020 is underway and will run until November 3. That leaves a few weeks for players to enjoy all the spooky and spooky activities Epic Games has planned. We're still waiting for more news on what's to come for this Ghostbusters crossover, but hopefully there's more to it than just picking up some cool cosmetics. Fortnite is available on PC, mobile platforms, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PS4.
