    Fortnite: Battle Royale 11.40 Patch Notes

    It's a Fortnite update day. Update 11.40 brought us the Rippley Vs. Mission Sludge, 8-Ball Vs. Mission Scratch and many other changes to the game. Probably the biggest change to the game is the return of the Heavy Assault Rifle thanks to the new Sidegrading system. The resource costs for upgrading weapons on the upgrade bench have also been changed, we assume that so few people do this.

    Fortnite 11.40 Patch Notes

    Version 11.40 is available for Battle Royale and includes the following changes:

    • Introducing Sidegrading: The Heavy Assault Rifle returns.
      • In non-competitive playlists, you can now use Upgrade Machines to 'upgrade' your Assault Rifle to a Heavy Assault Rifle.
    • Reduced material costs for upgrading weapons on upgrade machines.
    • Added the following to Battle Lab:
      • Flintlock pistol (common and uncommon)
      • Shockwave Grenade
      • Pulse Grenade
    • iPad Pro (2018 release) now supports 120 FPS.
    • Clickable buttons (L3 and R3) are now usable on supported iOS controllers.

    Bug fixes:

    • Players' Star Wars achievements have returned to the Legacy timeline.
    • Fixed an issue involving the "F" key not allowing correct movement after the direction was remapped to it.
    • Fixed a quick edit issue that caused players to stay in edit mode.
    • Falling into a hideout no longer causes the Bolt Action Sniper Rifle reticle to disappear.
    • Addressed an issue involving the Remedy vs. Toxin Challenge “Visit different bus stops in a single match” not tracking the progress of certain bus stops.
    • The Spectrum Contrail again changes colors when in motion.
    • Continued to make improvements regarding FPS drops and hitching on mobile devices.
    • Addressed an issue involving mobile players getting stuck in a loop on the Select Fire Mode screen.
    • Fixed an issue where console players could not progress through the donation process if they did not have two-factor authentication enabled.
