Among Us, The Hello Neighbor Spin-Off Will Release On A New Platform Next Week
The official Nintendo Switch pre-order trailer for Secret Neighbor, the spin-off of the acclaimed Hello Neighbor game, will be released this month on August 26th. The game has already been released on Steam for PC, as well as iOS, Android, Playstation and Xbox platforms.
The original Hello Neighbor was a stealth horror game where you tried to uncover the secret in a neighbor's house without being discovered. The main “twist” of the game is that the neighbor AI will learn from your previous break-in attempts and adjust the house defenses and behavior accordingly.
The spin-off is a multiplayer version whose premise is very similar to Among Us. In the game, a group of players, with the evil neighbor among them, will try to unlock the basement door without getting caught by the neighbor. The neighbor, who is not played by the game's AI but in fact by another player, will attempt to set traps and eliminate intruders. If you like Among Us and Hello Neighbor, this new multiplayer spin-off might be worth a shot.
There are some slight innovations from Hello Neighbor. Mainly, players can create their own maps and houses to keep the experience fresh and new. Additionally, there are now different classes for intruders to choose from. For example, the leader has the ability to speed up all nearby allies as well as immobilize the neighbor. Similarly, the neighbor will have 2 additional classes – a clown and a butcher.
Right now, pre-orders are available on the Nintendo Switch store at a 10% discount from $19,99 to $17,99.
