Pots are a great way to spruce up your next home with a beautiful flower or plant decoration. Although flower pots don't serve much of a practical purpose, they can definitely bring visual appeal to any place you want a pop of color! So, we are going to guide you step by step in this tutorial on how to make a jar in Minecraft.
How to make a flower pot
To make a pot, you'll need to find some clay, heat it in an oven, and then use the bricks to create the pot! We will explain you step by step below.
Step 1: find clay
Clay is a natural resource found on the map at the bottom of rivers and lakes. It appears in a sort of diamond-shaped pattern that looks like this:
Swamps are a particularly good biome for finding clay spawns, so keep an eye out for those! The clay is a block of light gray color. Here's an example of what it looks like when viewed underwater:
Harvesting it with the shovel will be the fastest, but you don't have to use one. Each block should give you a total of 4 balls of clay, which each give a brick.
Step 2: Create the Bricks
Now that we have our clay, we will need an oven to heat them. You can use any fuel, this includes: boards, logs, charcoal or coal. Place your fuel in the oven as well as your balls of clay to receive the brick.
You need three bricks in total to create a pot, so create as many as needed to craft all the pots you need.
Step 3: Create the jar
Now that you have all the bricks you need, add three to your crafting table in the following positions:
Take your pot out of the box on the right and you will have completed your task!
How to use a jar
All you need to use a pot is to place it where you want it and then add the plant you want inside! The flowerpot can hold all kinds of things, such as flowers, bamboo, saplings, cacti, mushrooms, mushrooms and more! Here is an example of how some of them look:
