The /setworldspawn command in Minecraft allows the user to change the world location to their current Minecraft world. This causes all new players who join the world to start at this position, rather than the default spawn for the seed. The use of this command is detailed below.
Syntax
There are two syntax options depending on the version of Minecraft you are using. They are listed below.
- Java
- Syntax: /setworldspawn
- Example: /setworldspawn 100 70100-180
- Result: Sets the world spawn to block position 100 70 100 and places the user facing north.
- Syntax: /setworldspawn
- bedrock
- Syntaxe: / setworldspawn [spawnPoint: xyz]
- Example: /setworldspawn 100 70100
- Result: Sets world spawn to block position 100 70 100.

Arguments
, [spawnPoint]: Required argument that specifies the block for the world spawn. Must include xyz coordinates including floating point numbers, tildes, or caret notations.
- : exclusive to Java. Sets the spawn angle of the world that new players will face. Varies from -180 to 179,9. Examples:
- -180: due north.
- -90: due east.
- 0: due south.
- 90: Due West.
- 179.9: Just west of Due North.
