We just received a whole bunch of new information from the Minecraft Live 2020 stream, and the major announcement of the next Caves and Cliffs update. This new addition to the game will include new monsters, biomes, resources, and items. If you were a fan of the recent Nether update, this will be similar, but could be even more significant as it affects many parts of the world. It's a pretty exciting time if you're a big Minecraft player, so let's take a look at one of the particularly cool additions that will be added in the future!
The Warden mob is one of the scariest additions we have ever seen that will be added to Minecraft. You will only be able to find it in the Deep Dark biome, which is rarely found in the lower depths of your Minecraft world. They will spawn alongside the new Sculk Growths that sit alongside this new mob. The Guardian is the first blind mob in Minecraft and reacts based on vibrations. This is also very similar to Sculk Pickups that grow in Sculk shoots!
Sculk sensors are a new block of redstone, which reacts to movement and sound. These can be used to create Wireless Redstone Sensors, which could truly revolutionize in-game device creation!
When you encounter a guardian, it seems the torch lights dim, and you might even find a hidden treasure area with black candles and a chest or two you can open for rewards. You can use throwables to attract them to different areas. If you sneak up, you'll stay hidden from them because they can't see you. They are similar to Sculk sensors that react when you place blocks, shoot arrows, and just about anything that will trigger their sensing ability.
They are quite a tough mob, as they have high health and hit very hard. During the demonstration, the player wore Netherite armor and was again very abused about it. You'll have to find a way to stay out of range or just walk away from it so you don't get tricked.
