Fortnite may add the ability to customize the Battle Bus in later updates based on leaks on Twitter. The leaks were discovered thanks to a data miner by the name of spedicey1. He discovered a code that would indicate that Epic Games will in fact be adding new skins and possibly other customization options for the Battle Bus.
For those who haven't played before, the Battle Bus is a floating bus that players exit before each match. He has become an iconic symbol of the series. What exactly you'll be able to change on the bus hasn't been confirmed, but it's safe to assume it will be skins and other cosmetic items. Maybe a different sound effect when you jump off the bus.
Regardless of what you might think of cosmetic items in games. They add a lot of personal flair that wouldn't be possible otherwise. Those who regularly purchase the Season Pass would always appreciate more content to unlock and show off to other players. It might not make you play any better, but you definitely look a lot cooler dying as a gingerbread man than in a beige tank top.
Fortnite was built on things like battle passes and other microtransactions. Keep exclusive content that you can only access by paying real money fresh and exciting. Expect to see more options added in the future. For the most part, Fortnite's business model has remained relatively the same for years.
