Overall, Ban of Arthropods is a useful enchantment if you plan to start a spider farm, otherwise it is not recommended to use the enchantment. The main reason is that subsequent enchantments will become incompatible with the item you enchant it on.

However, you might be better off trying to enchant the books via an enchanting table and Lapis Lazuli. Beyond that, looting dungeon chests, checking villagers, and trading emeralds when they have the book is another option.
